Sorry for the silence. Thanks to a forward email from a friend who's a graduate student at Stanford.  I've joined a children's writing critique group with mostly grad students from Stanford.  We had our first crit on Monday night and it seems to have resuscitated this picture book I had given up for dead.    I brought Hermione and she helped me walk around in the dark to find the meeting place.  Hermione went unnoticed by someone who came late until it was time to go.  Cool.

Yay! A good, smart, supportive writing group is GOLD.

Needless to say, I'm envious. I'd like to resurrect my pic book, but my critique group fell apart last year.

Fingers crossed that yours lasts longer and does a lot for you!

Not surprised that Hermione went unnoticed--good to know that your group member were focused!

I hope so too!

Well she was under the table sleeping. LOL

Wish I could have that
I have two 5 month old chocolate labrador puppies, and I think the chances of them going unnoticed by anybody is rather slim :)

We're making progress though, they are calming down, and I'm hopeful that someday they'll be more manageable :)
