Silly dog names

We are a very silly family and here are the silliest name or name origins my family suggested my dog will be called. The dog will come with a name. What we end up calling the dog unofficially remains to be seen, but I promise you, it won't be Maul. ;)

Horrid names
Darth Maul or Maul for short
Darth Vader
Poo Money (a feature in Lego Star Wars)

Silly Names

Not so bad
Jag (comes from Jaguar being a fierce animal is not the best name for a service dog)
and all the other two syllable train engine names in Thomas except Thomas

Names of various family members that are two syllables.

This kept my kids amused for a good 1/2 hour.

Silly names indeed.

I once bet on a dog in a grayhound race named Supercat. And he won!

(I like the Thomas names)

Thomas names are really quite nice names. I wouldn't mind any of them except Lady. I just would think it strange if the person said the dog was named after a Thomas character. :)

Go with Yoda!

I have a Wookie (named by previous owners, but it's still funny).

We had a cat named Drippy because she drooled a LOT as a youngster.

Ooh cute names! Yoda may end up being a nickname. I haven't see any Yodas being turned in, but ya never know. :)

Cat, if you don't have a cat.

You can't name a dog YMCA because you will inevitably call him/her Y and then every time a small child asks "why" the dog will come running. Or maybe not becuase service dogs are well trained. Which is why they are the only dogs I am not afraid of by default. But the dog will want to go running and that's just not fair.

Actually I like the Thomas and Friends names. Percy especially. Although it will sound more like a Harry Potter commentary than a Thomas one.

You're right. YMCA should be in the confusing names for the dog. For a well trained dog, you use the dog's name to get the dog's attention then issue a command such as COME(come here) etc.

I am particular to Darth Maul or Percy. Or poopyhead.

It's a cool thing you're not naming my dog. LOL.

A young friend of ours really wanted to name their dog "Mini Maul" (as in Darth Maul)

He was outvoted ;)

Charming. Glad he was outvoted. :)
