Little T's Nephrology apt

Little T's Nephrology apt went well. HIs blood pressure has gone back to normal now that his steroids have been dialed back to .5 ml/a day. Hooray! The doctor said they found that the blood flow in one of his kidneys had a slightly lower differential. It's abnormal and he'll need another ultrasound in six months. However now that he's off steroids, it doesn't appear to be causing him any problems.

Unfortunately my poor boy is still puking everyday. He now pukes whenever he uses his abs. think this may be the equivalent of a small infant spitting up all the time, except that he's 19 months old and he's puking every time he uses his abs. I dunno. He doesn't puke a ton in the morning anymore. Well I wrote that and then when I went to put him down for a nap, I saw that there was puke on the sheets, so I guess he doesn't puke every morning now. Just a couple times a week. So Reglan is working sorta. I called his GI doctor yesterday and left a message. No reply. I called again today and the admin claimed there was no record of a message left yesterday. Argh. I hope he calls back today.

I'm glad he's improving.

It'll be good when they can find the source of his tummy upsets. I can't imagine how heart-wrenching it must be to watch your little be sick every day.

My mom's having a G-tube put in tomorrow morning. They say it will help her absorb more nutrition than the tube from her nose to her tummy and help her wake up from her semi-coma quicker.
