David Hasselhoff is hooked on a feeling!

Emailed from giandujabird I loved this video of David Hasselhoff singing "Hooked on a Feeling!" It brought me back to days of watching Knight Rider with my brother. Picture me waving my arms in the air in time to the music. Special K liked this vid too.

SE subjected me to this video as well. I was on board with it being goofy fun. Until: THE TUNA. My god, the tuna. *shudder* ;)

What gets me is that he's so *earnest* about it. He's not being silly, or ironic, or sarcastic. He believes in it, totally.

...Until, of course, we obtain evidence that he performed this as a joke. If it turns out as such, then it's pure comedic gold. But, as owlmoose says, it was prolly done in all seriousness. Feel the awesomeness. ;)

funny!
That can't be a straight-up routine. It's got too many humorous elements: the martian, the tuna, the flapping like a bird, the angels, the extreme locations. It's very silly. What a hoot!

I remembered hearing the song on the radio when I was young. The "ooga chakka" part used to really freak me out. It gave me visions on apes jumping up and down, planning violence, or the flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz--creepy, and frightening. I would be so relieved when the melody would come in and take away that chanting. It's a stroke of brillance, though. It makes the song much more complex.

What a nice man :)
This was a great dose of silly to listen to while our daughter's Kangaroo pump fed her tonight.

Hasslehoff was at our honeymoon resort. As we were returning from a run on a hot, sweaty day, he drove by in a Jeep and offered us a ride up a steep hill. For some reason, we turned him down. He was, as my husband noted, very courteous.

I'm glad to hear he's a nice guy. He always seemed so on tv, if a little plastic

I guess David Hasselhoff is more famous in Germany than he is in US. So much so that when they translate the little flyers that say "Tour the homes of the stars!" David Hasselhoff appears in the German version but not in the English version. :)

Yeah apparently there are scary huge posters of him on billboards in Germany. Someone sent me a link once.

Hey kids, the vid's as serious as Knight Rider which David Hasselhoff performed with that same smile alternating with earnestness.
