Riding at the BOK ranch

I'm excited because the BOK Ranch just called me back. They offer therapeutic horseback riding. It could really help me with my driving. If I could learn to steer a horse without maintaining a death grip then perhaps I could learn to drive again on the highway without a death grip too. I also don't ride my bicycle anymore because my wrists hurt too much. Again I grip the handles too tightly trying to balance or something. I just lock my wrists lot. It's really worth a try to try to break the 'lock wrists' pattern engraved in my brain. It would also help with the sensory issues I didn't even know I had until I did PT with . If you draw a letter on my hand, I have a really hard time telling you what it is.

Wow, that's great! I sincerely hope that helps you learn to "loosen the reins" on your wrists. (Sorry, bad pun.)

Did I tell you that I'm now certified as an equine therapy riding instructor? It really does make a difference...I could go on and on about the positive changes I've seen in both children and adults in the past year. You know it has some merit when insurance companies are starting to concede it's worth them paying for it ;) Happy trails!

Thanks! I can't promise I will then drive to your place that often, but at least it'll make it possible.
